Pink Diamonds are Desirable and Rare
As per the Gemological institute of America “Of the millions of diamonds mined each year, only .001% can qualify as fancy colors and only a handful can achieve the top grades of Intense and Vivid.” Natural Fancy Color Diamonds are known as one of the rarest in the world today. Of the color diamond family, Pink Diamonds are the second to rarest color found. Pink diamonds are recognized as extremely luxurious items.
The increase in rarity together with their popularity has significantly driven pink diamond prices up. Consequently, they are often utilized as additions to investment portfolios as family assets.
PINK DIAMOND PRICES KEEP INCREASING!
Prices for all pink fancy color diamonds increased by 365% in the past decade. The Argyle Diamond Mine in Western Australia, a source of more than 90% of pink diamonds in the world, is set to close by 2020, which will most likely push the high price of pinks up even higher. (Source FCRF) After almost four decades, the mine has exhausted its supply of “economically viable stones,” Bloomberg reported in July.
DIFFERENT KINDS OF PINK COLORS
